You`re never too old to keep active
- 30 October 2017
Gladys Rayburn, Link4Life’s oldest participant on the Active Living sessions enjoyed her 100th birthday celebration at Rochdale Leisure Centre last week. (28 October 2017)
Link4Life’s Active Living classes and courses are designed specifically for older adults and those living with long term conditions who want to improve their overall health and wellbeing. The classes are centered on the individual’s needs, to help improve their overall mobility, health and quality of life. All classes have highly qualified instructors who are there to help and support you every step of the way.
Gladys thanked everyone for the special birthday celebration and added: “I’ve been coming here for two years now and I love it. The best thing is, as well as improving my health I get to meet so many different people, otherwise I’d just be sat at home on my own. ”
Elaine Stott, Link4Life Active4Life Coordinator added: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Gladys over the last two years, she really is an inspiration! Delivering on the Active Living sessions is the best part of my week, to meet so many great people, who are making such improvements each week, being able to tailor exercise so they can achieve their goals is amazing, and the cup of tea and a chat after each session is a whole lot of fun!!!
