Executive Producer required to support Dippy on Tour, North West Region
- 31 January 2017
Link4Life (the Rochdale Borough-wide Cultural Trust) in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council are seeking to appoint a freelance Executive Producer to develop and implement a programme and fundraising strategy that will enable delivery of the objectives of the North West Dippy on Tour residency.
In November 2016 the Natural History Museum announced its intention to tour its iconic Diplodocus cast ‘Dippy’ to eight venues as part of their new strategic focus working nationally to engage audiences with culture, nature and science, inspire a new generation of scientists and build capacity in natural history museums across the UK.
The selected venues are: Dorset County Museum; Birmingham Gas Hall; Belfast National Museum; Glasgow Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery; Newcastle Great North Museum; Wales National Assembly of Wales; Norwich Cathedral and Rochdale Number One Riverside (February - June 2020)
As hosts of the North West leg of the tour, the partnership will be collaborating to develop, fundraise for and deliver an expansive programme of activities in the lead up to and to accompany the residency in order to engage communities both locally and across the North West.
This is an exciting opportunity to positively raise the profile of Rochdale regionally and nationally by promoting the rich heritage, culture and visitor assets of the Borough as well as deliver real benefits for our local communities and a legacy lasting far beyond the life of the project.
Fee: £25,000 - £30,000 inclusive of VAT and all expenses.
Deadline for Quotations: 17 February 2017
