Link4Life offers a range of approved training courses providing essential qualifications in Health & Safety and First Aid, working in partnership with our own training providers for those working in the leisure industry.
We also offer a range of first aid awareness courses suitable for both the workplace, at home or in an educational setting:

All course times are 9am-4pm. Places can be booked by contacting the host Centre in person or by phone. All courses hold a maximum of 12 people.

Emergency First Aid at Work
This course is appropriate for nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone requiring a comprehensive one day first aid course.
The course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for lower risk businesses, in accordance with Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate's confidence.
The syllabus includes:
- Health and safety (first aid) regulation
- Managing an incident
- The priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Common workplace injuries
- Designed for: All employees
- Course duration: 6 hours (1 day)
- Assessment method: Continuous Assessment by the trainer
- Validation: Upon successful completion certification is valid for three years
First Aid at Work - 3 Day Course
The First Aid at Work course is in accordance with Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.
The 3 day First Aid at Work Training Course Syllabus includes:
- First Aid Priorities
- Managing Incidents
- Basic Life Support
- Examination of a Casualty
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns and Scalds
- Common Illnesses
- Heart Attacks
- Eye Injuries
- Recording and Reporting
- First Aid Kits
- Course duration: 3 day First Aid at Work programme
Students are independently examined on the final afternoon of the first aid at work course.
Upon successful completion, certification is valid for three years.
