This is the newest and largest of the borough’s new leisure centres which opened in July 2012 and it completes over £34 million of new investment in new facilities in recent years. The centre incorporates a number of new innovations including a large learner pool with moveable floor and a high quality thermal suite. It also has an eight lane 25m, 150 station gym, a smaller activity gym for programmed sessions, and for the first time in the town, it has a fully accessible four-court sports hall.

The £11 million centre on Entwisle Road near Rochdale town centre is the third brand new leisure centre to open in the borough of Rochdale as part of an investment in new sport and arts facilities totalling more than £34 million.

The new centre extends the range of services provided and, for the first time, a fully accessible sports hall is available in Rochdale for both daytime and evening public use.

An eight-lane, 25 metre swimming pool is another feature of the new Rochdale Leisure Centre – in what is the widest pool in the borough - which also has a large 17 metre second pool with moveable floor. This equalises the depth of water across the pool making it much more flexible for activities such as fitness classes and swimming lessons. Pool changing facilities include a family-friendly changing area in addition to traditional male and female changing areas.

Replacing the sauna and steam facilities that formed part of the old Central Leisure Centre is a high quality thermal suite that gives yet another luxury feel to the centre.

Fitness fans are delighted with the facilities available at the centre which have a 120 station main gym as well as a smaller 'activity' gym for programmed and targeted sessions and two dance studios.

Car Park

The car park has 240 spaces including 18 parent and toddler and 12 disabled spaces located near the main entrance plus 2 minibus spaces. The car park is max 3 hour stay for centre users only
